SIEGE Feature :NEW Video: Rihanna – “We Found Love”

Directed by Melina Matsoukas ("Hard," "S&M," "Rude Boy," "Rockstar 101"), the clip features Rihanna and British model/boxer Dudley O'Shaughnessy in a drug-fueled love affair full of lusty moments and heated fights. In the end, Rihanna walks away from it all, unable to deal with the pain of that lifestyle. The buzzy video certainly had fans talking. "This video reminds me of Sid Vicious and Nancy [Spungen], maybe not as bad as how Sid and Nancy were with each other but pretty intense," Cristian noted in a comment.

"This video is beyond anything I've ever experienced," Kirsten said. "It stuns me from beginning to end, lighting this fire inside of me I forgot was there. The passion oozes out of the screen while this video is playing. Brilliant, just brilliant." "Yes I Totally Agree Rihanna is fast becoming the new Madonna," Kyle added. "She pushes the envelop and gives us something to think about however uncomfortable it may be. Hands down, this is one of the best videos I've seen in a while. I guess I need to come out of my closet and show her some love openly."

While many fans commended Rihanna for her cinematic clip, it was hard for some not to note the domestic violence and drug use in the clip. "This video sends out the wrong message," Deshea wrote. "It's very graphic, nothing that they're doing is love, it's lust!"

In the opinion of some commenters like Kevin, the video should stand without any judgment. "The video is real and I think ppl need to stop judging her and let her do her thing," he said. "Music is supposed to provoke and invoke and that's just what she's doing. Stop hating on the things you don't understand. Ppl are only out to judge. I ain't a fan of hers but I don't hate on her either because she's a talent and she should be appreciated for the work that she does."

Nicki Minaj is on the cover of Cosmopolitan Magazine!!

Nicki Minaj’s animated outfits and “personalities” are certainly entertaining, but in the current issue of Cosmopolitan magazine she peels back the act and let's us see the real woman.

On the cover, the rapper is outfitted in an edgy, leather corset-style dress with a midnight black bob wig to match and a feathered cuff. It’s a look that gives her character without making her look like a cartoon. Even her usually popping pink lip is swapped out for a softer hue. Inside the magazine Nicki models gold jewelry, a snakeskin top, a woven and silk strapless dress and pink nails and heels.

The feature article also gives a rare look at the star and “how she beat the odds and learned to rule her world.” Nicki opens up about some heavy topics, including growing up with an abusive father and the suicidal thoughts she had when it seemed like her career wouldn’t take off. Thankfully now the rapper sees a bright future for herself. In five years she says, “I will be married and a couple of years after that will have a bun in the oven.” In 10 years she sees herself with “hundreds of millions of dollars. I will have put out five albums and will have an Oscar and Grammys.”

Siege Fashion! - Yashica Davis Launches "Shic Clothing"

Siege Magazine was on location to cover Yashica Davis' "Shic Clothing" Fashion show and website Launch Party. It was Lights Camera Fashion! Saturday September 24th as many came out to support Her SHIC 2011 Fall/Winter collection. The energy was high,and the runway was full of fresh faces and fierce fashion. The event was hosted by the designer's long time friend and supporter Mario Bennett who brought his style and charisma to the podium. There was also a beautiful reading by Poet and Author Stacy Davis Stanton (who is also the designer's sister). To keep the crowd moving, Hip Hop group KidSyc @ Brandywine opened the show, giving us hot beats and lyrical creativity. The runway included diverse styles full of furs,leather and body conscious dresses, that are definitely not for the shy. However the line is perfect for the woman who wants to make heads turns as she enters a room. Yashica states, "I am so proud of this collection, A lot of dedication and hard work went into each design, And I hope you will enjoy it as much as I do." This collection is sure to stand the test of time. We look forward to seeing more of her creations.
